Welcome back to school!

I hope you have a great 8th grade year! 

Students enrolled in this course will complete seven units, aligned with the Maryland State Department of Education curriculum. The units are Skills and Processes, Cellular Biology, Genetics, Evolution, Human Anatomy/Physiology, Diversity of Organisms and Ecology/Environmental Science. In addition, students will be provided with many opportunities to practice skills and acquire new knowledge about their natural world. Students will be tested in grade 8 with the Maryland State Assessment for Middle School Science in the Spring of 2008. Furthermore, students are required to successfully pass the Biology High School Assessment during their high school experience. This course will provide the basic foundation of understanding for success in areas the above units cover on both tests.

This site will also provide parents and students information concerning classwork, homework, and upcoming projects.

This site is designed to assist band students and parents with all aspects of their musical development; including weekly assignments, practice schedules, grading and expectations, instrumental care and maintenance, musical links, and links to other helpful information.

This site will match books from the library media center to each teacher's curriculum.
